Can you use powder concealer with liquid foundation?

Whatever works.

Always use foundation first to even out your skin as much as you can, and then use whatever concealer on more troubled spots, otherwise the concealer would be rubbed off if you put foundation on after.

Whatever works man.Can you use powder concealer with liquid foundation?
Not really sure what I would recommend to you. Its difficult to pick so what I end up doing is starting with the less expensive and trying out a few different ones.I would check out the review site at http://www.brandsmakeup.com visit and browse the reviews. Can you use powder concealer with liquid foundation?
yeah it will work. I have done that before and it worked fine. :)

  • What is the best drugstore concealer 10 points?

something that is lightweight goes very smooth on your skin without

rubbing your skin that blends easily on your skin nothing thick please

10 points for the best answerWhat is the best drugstore concealer 10 points?
Since you are looking for something that is not too thick, Sonia Kashuk's Hidden Agenda Concealer palette is a good one. This whole palette includes so many things!

It has three different shades which is great for all kinds of blemishes. They have one that is just a regular concealer so that it covers scars and such blemishes. They also have one shade that is a little on the olive/green-ish side so that is great for neutralizing and covering red blemishes. They also have a salmon-toned concealer that is good for under eye circles. The palette also includes a little powder for setting the concealer and two quality brushes (not sponge tip applicators) for applying. It is a great qualitied palette that also comes with an awesome price! =D It is $11. It may sound a bit overpriced but if you really think about it, you're getting three different kinds of concealers for different blemishes, a setting powder, AND two mini brushes. I think it's a great deal =)

HOPE I HELPED!What is the best drugstore concealer 10 points?
I use max factor's pan stick. It's a foundation in stick form, but I've found it's actually worked amazingly as a concealer. I use it as a regular foundation as well, but I mix moisturizer in it so that it is sheer. The coverage is amazing. It covers ever blemish I have, and it doesn't feel like i'm wearing anything. It's around 8 bucks I think.
I use Ulta concealer and i like it, i've heard that Physicians Formula and NYX are good. If you want to cover up redness, then you should get a green one. The Ulta brand is skintone, it blends easily and it is very smooth.
Rimmel's concealer is still the best. It goes on really well without much rubbing and stays put for hours. Wouldn't leave home without it! Don't know if you can get Rimmel outside of the UK though!
    i like loreal true match.

Does clinique acne solution concealer work well?

i just bought that concealer bc the counter lady recommended it to me for my skin type and tried it out on my face.. i also bought clinique moisture surge and clarifying lotion has anyone tried any of these products and could give me a review on them thx a lot for your help :)

ps: i need to know about the concealer!!Does clinique acne solution concealer work well?
ive tried the clarifying lotion number 2 altogether i think it is really **** 拢57 gone to waste try body shop tea tree set i think its really good and you can try there seaweed set as well... i used the seaweed set first and it was working but then i found out i should be using the tea tree set and i just brought some more of it because it was good and has made a difference but maybe clinique is for you but i can't put man-made chemicals on face because it just don't work but body shop is 100% natural chemicals and its really good i think thats what my body needs

I need a good concealer what skin color do you think this is?

my friend needs help with colors and do you think shes pretty??????I need a good concealer what skin color do you think this is?
i think it's a bad idea to look at a picture and determine skin color. because, the lighting can make your actual skin color look very different. like me, i look pale in some %26amp; black in others. =] go to like sephora or some make up store. =]I need a good concealer what skin color do you think this is?
don麓t need flat hair, natural always better!
    Mac concealers are the best.

    Color: about nc20-25

    And yea shes really pretty.
shes pretty, but as far as the skin color..............
almay smart shade concealer blends right into your skin

color, believe me it works i use it all the time !

%26amp; i think she should get the light/medium tone

    [=

yeah she's cute..maybe a little makeup? but thats just what i thinkkk, ask a boy!
    Medium/Dark
It's always a bad idea to determine skincolour from pics.

All kinds of factors will affect how your colour actually turns out in the pic. To find a concealer for your skintone, tab a lil concealer tester and blend into your chin and jawline. The right shade should blend right into your skin.
i think she is really pretty and i also think that the color is like a mix of mexican and cocaison but mostly cocaison.

but it doesnt mean she is.

    and i love her hair.

    its tight.

    .
shese kinda pretty i guess and i think shes like a medium ivory skintone
If you go to any Dillards... Sears, in the make-up section, they can help you find your skin color.

Always check out Walgreens of CVS...ask the make-up person there. You can test out different colors... use your arm (like near your wrist or even the top of your hand)...
I would say she is a biege or olive, maybe if she took a picture with a different pose.

When applying make up should i use foundation of concealer first?

    foundation first, then concealer.

if you do concealer first, you'll undo all your work blending the concealer when you apply the foundation. :)When applying make up should i use foundation of concealer first?
You can use concealer both under or over your foundation. Use both under and over for maximum coverage. Under gives you light coverage, over gives a medium coverage, using both over and under gives you the max. Hope this helps. When applying make up should i use foundation of concealer first?
there are so many different types of everything idk which yu should use first

*concealer is more to hide blemishes and aged spots

*and then foundation evens out your tones and gives yu a smoother look to your face

*so i htink i would go w/ concealer and then foundation...but thats just me
concealer first because yoy only use it on spots

then you use the foundation to blend it out for full coverage
foundation it makes it easier to put on concealer
    yep

Hey Girls, what concealer and blush from Everyday Minerals do you recommend? I'm asian with light color skin

Intensive fair concealer, and maybe the Text Message blush for more subtle.

I like the apple blush better.Hey Girls, what concealer and blush from Everyday Minerals do you recommend? I'm asian with light color skin
Try Maybelline Dream Mousse Concealer! It's light and helps prevent caking.

If you want to have a blush that doesn't fade and crease, you can use Maybelline Dream Mousse Blush. You don't need to buy or use brush, which can only cause irritation to the skin most of the time. It is available in 6 different shades.

Don't use ';Everyday Minerals'; Use Bare Minerals. Everyday Minerals is like a knock-off of Bare Minerals-the originator of mineral makeup.

  • Does anybody wear concealer all over their face?

if so, then how do you keep it from coming off when you sweat? my face is red all over it and im looking for something to help with that. also i love powder foundation, but when i put bare essentials powder foundation on my face, it looks all shiny , like its caked on, but i barely put any on. does anybody know why? could it be that its old make up?its almost a year old. im 27 and im a transgendered girl and i love any makeup tips i can get. thank youDoes anybody wear concealer all over their face?
I usually put concealer at the lower part of my eyes..to hide my eye bags..Didn't try to put it all over my face.Does anybody wear concealer all over their face?
I have tried many brands of cosmetics to accommodate skin changes as I matured. I found that Bare Minerals has been great! I use the Bare Minerals concealer shade is called Well-Rested; I apply a minimal amount using a concealer brush around my eyes to minimize dark circles and wrinkles, then I use a powder brush to lightly apply to my face before applying the Bare Minerals foundation. I finish off my make-up routine with the Mineral Veil (one of many shades to choose from) which is a translucent (almost sheer) powder to ';set'; my make-up.

Also, with Bare Minerals, use the minimal amount while you swirl, tap, and buff on the powder.

Other things to consider and remember are to prepare your skin with a moisturizer/ ';primer,'; (bareVitamins Skin Rev-er) and to match your make-up color as closely as possible to your skin coloring.

    I hope that helps!
Try Clinique makeup! Its great! It does not look cakey or rub of easy.
That is a bad idea... You want to get a really nice foundation. Concealer is made to be a lot thicker formula.
I've never put concealer all over my face. However, to cover red you should use a yellow concealer to hide the red and then use full coverage foundation. If your skin is oily, cleanse and then put an oil absorbing lotion on and let it soak in. Apply a light dusting of translucent powder and let it sit for about 5 minutes. Apply a light amount of yellow concealer in the red areas of your face using your finger. Pat it on. Apply an oil free full coverage foundation. If you're looking for something that won't rub off, try Senegence Cosmetics. They are waterproof and wonderful. They have a whole line of waterproof cosmetics. It goes on light but you can build it up to full coverage. When your foundation is dry, put on another dusting of powder in a matching shade or translucent. Good luck!
I use MAC Studio Fix powder and I really like it. I have a lot of red on my skin, to and it really helps cover that up. It's also really easy to put on in a hurry and thats really all I need if I only have a minute. I'm 15 and in hs, so I really don't need much make up, so it's perfect to put on on the way to school!
I only wear concealer under my eyes. Try MAC Studio Fix Fluid foundation. It has great coverage but doesn't look all cakey. It's WONDERFUL!!

    Good luck!! *Devin*
I have had acne all my life. I first use rubbing alcohol on a cotton swab every night to remove make up. And a routine of this will clear up acne and oilly skin. I use the green aclohol just because its a better smell. Then When you put your make up on Put your liquid on under your eyes and other key spots.

NO DO NOT put it on like pancake face. Then let it dry add your powder foundation on top of that your blush then eye make up. In that order

    U should try bare minerals
Concealer is only good for spot treatments, but I don't use it at all.

I use a liquid foundation, then once it is blended in I put on translucent powder, which I blend in with a HUGE powder brush.

remember to go below the jawline and blend in with your neck too.

Powder foundation is so outdated, use the liquid first.
Try using a yellow concealer to counteract your red. I've gone to mostly using yellow, instead of skin tone, and I like the results.

I did some writing for a beauty site last year, and using concealer just where you need it in the middle of you face is a fashion model's trick. It works too. Usually I don't even need to add powder. Try several looks and see what works for you.

Remember, concealer is designed to be used as a very light coat. If it's coming off visibly during the day, you may be applying too much. Use just a light coverage around the nose, under the eyes, and also under the brows and lightly on the upper lip. Blend it into invisibility. Then, step back from the mirror and look. Add another light layer wherever you identify the need--then blend again.

It's always a good idea to wash your face, use a toner like Sea Breeze, and apply a moisturizer every time before you start out your daily face procedure. If you allow the moisturizer to soak up into your skin for 8 - 10 minutes before you apply foundation or mineral makeup, you should have the perfect canvas prepared. Any other problems I'd directly ask the seller about. There are lots on e-Bay.

These are great tips to share--especially for summer makeup.

Almay smart shade concealer does it work?

do it work or not it so explain why or why not

10 points for the best answer also how it feels on your skin

    it is lightweight or cakey

thanks in advanceAlmay smart shade concealer does it work?
I have it. Yea it does all my friends says it makes my skin look flawless. Each person has different skin mine has no zits that could be why, i have broke out before and it did cover it up pretty well. My skin feels better with out it but it makes my skin look great so i would buy it.Almay smart shade concealer does it work?
I use it the trick to it is to get the shade that is right and for me it was hit or miss till i got it. you have to apply it with your fingers so that it matches the tone and i actually found it to be kinda light but as soon as you sweat even a little it starts to lift and get that crusty look.
It works and compared to liquid foundation it's lightweight but since I wear mineral makeup it feels heavy if I use too much. without a primer it can look cakey too.
I like it. It's not as good as my more expensive concealers, but it does the job just fine.

It's soo lightweight, i would suggest buying it.

What's the best way to apply concealer? pat with finger or concealer brush or foundation brush?

    Thanks

also, I'm using liquid foundation, do I apply foundation b4 concealer or vice versa? i read mixed reviews and heard different things, I have oily skin and uneven skin tone.

thanksWhat's the best way to apply concealer? pat with finger or concealer brush or foundation brush?
I have oily skin and uneven skin tone too.

If I use a liquid concealer I apply over foundation because it will rub off under foundation otherwise. To apply I put a little dot over the area I'm trying to conceal and pat gently.

If I use a stick concealer I apply it under foundation because it seems a little thicker consistency when on the skin so it won't rub off when you put foundation over it.

It tried using a concealer brush but it just seems to pick it back up off your face when you dab it on so I wouldn't recommend that. A foundation brush would be too big so you'd have more concealer on making it look like you have more foundation layers- not a good look! A foundation brush should only be used for foundation or liquid highlighter. What's the best way to apply concealer? pat with finger or concealer brush or foundation brush?
no put the concealer under your eye and on acne/bad spots with the brush that is attached to the lid.

then pat it in with your finger.

    then put on foundation.

i know people say put it on after but that just looks weird. becuase concealer should be about 2 sshades lighter than your skin or foundation.

and it just loks better under the foundation.

and i also suggest a pressed powder foundation. you dont have to but i find that liquid foundations is tinted red or orange...
well peoplee say to apply concealer last but it do it first this is what i do so i have the kind that looks like lipstick so i get my concealer brush which is from target which was like 2 dollars then i just use liquid foundation revlon color stay for oily skin/combination and use a powder to stop any extra shine ps don't for get to moisturize oil free

hope that helps sorry its long
I use concealer first with the M.A.C concealer brush. Then apply foundation after giving the concealer a minute or so to dry.
    Concealer first!

And for applying it, I'd say patting with your fingers, especially around your eyes. The brush is a little too harsh for that sensitive area.
apply concealer before! just as long its not too liquidy that it will rub it off. put conceealer on and then (pat) blend in at the corners with your fingers
when u apply concealer best way is using fingertips is better

I got an asian skin, any foundation n concealer for eyes recommendations?

I hate powder or cream to powder foundations, want something that blends with my skin color, can some1 suggest something good?I got an asian skin, any foundation n concealer for eyes recommendations?
yeah i can make a suggestion - i used to work on beauty counters. Bobbi Brown has an excellent color palette for our asian skin but i find them too dry and chalky for me. I like lancombe color ID as it looks natural, or for eyes specifically use YSL touche eclat - which is magic on dark circles. also - you should use an eye cream before you use make up - and I just have to recommend Estee Lauder Idealist eye serum - its amazing - just try it.I got an asian skin, any foundation n concealer for eyes recommendations?
Cover girl has many colors for everyone and better on the skin than the leading brands. For white black, Asian everyone. I have spent lots of money trying to get the right one and it turned out my first choice worked the best. If you are under 20 you really do not need a foundation save that for evening wear. I did not start wearing any till I was in my thirties to cover a discoloration from pregnancy. I only wash my face with Noxzema skin cream never soap. I may splash a little water on my face through out the day. I just love these products,Mary Kay is another brand you can consider but much more expensive. Hope that helps ~A~

I am in favor of mineral foundations, but as you know majority come in a powder and that is what you do not want. So to make it easier on you, I suggest Jane Iredale Mineral Liquid Makeup. It blends in very well and it is great for yellow undertones.

    Yes you can.

I LOVE Mary Kay! I have oily skin and am a bit blemish prone. I use different formulas of foundation depending on what I'm doing that day, but none of them clog my pores and once it's on, I can't feel it! The concealer was just revamped in Dec, so it's now more true to skin tone, and feels great. I hope you find one that works for you!

Concealer First. I am all about Loreal True Match
    try some cement

Concealer.. if you still need more coverage then put a little conealer on after foundation and use a pressed powder to blend it in.

    Foundation of course!
well hun you put on conealer first casue ALOT OF PEOPLE find they dont need foundation because putting on concealer first hides your imperfections and foundation just ADDS more coverage.i think concealer is the best cheeper and more benefit of the uses.
Not sure on the brands, but you put concealer on before foundation to hide blemishes better.
    concealer first...

    I like Clinique personally
    consealer, then foundation!!
you should always put on fondation 1st. then concealer. the best foundation is bare minarals and concealer is blush!
I use Shiseido concealer that gives great coverage followed by Clinque dewy smooth foundation and then a thin layer of powder.
    concealer first foundation next.
foundation then concealer if u do it the other way round u wipe off the concealer wen u put the foundation on and ul find u dnt need as much concealer cus the foundation may hav hidden the blemishes already
Bobbi Brown suggests that you use concealer under your eyes first, then apply foundation sparingly,in places that need to be blended in,instead of a full face of foundation. The better brands to get are Prescriptives,Bobbi Brown, and L'Oreal Exact-Match(?).Prescriptives will help match your skin stone as closely as possibe.Bobbi Brown has the most true-to -skin-tone colors, too.Avoid too-pink foundations unless you are a very pale,porselain-skinned person.
I would think that concealer goes on first. Then the foundation. I guess you mean liquid foundation. Then powder over all of that.
A bit of concealer for the eyes and blemishes.. Use foundation lightly and blend.. Set the whole thing with loose powder and you're good to go.

Can concealer work as an eyeshadow base?

yes, but i recommend you get something created to be an eyeshadow base like urban decays eyeshadow insurance eyeshadow base. Can concealer work as an eyeshadow base?
Yeah you can use it as a base for shadows just make sure to powder it, even if you use a cream eyeshadow, so it isn't overly greasy. You can either use the powder you use to set your makeup or a really light eyeshadow color. If you directly put a darker color over your eyes it will sort of clump in spots and not look smooth. Can concealer work as an eyeshadow base?
I wouldnt recommend it but i know some people do use it as an eyeshadow base. I dont recommend it because its not going to make your colors look as vibrant and make them last as long as an eye primer would. Plus it might not withstand oily eyelids and might make your eyeshadow crease (which i dread!!). So yea but try it might work for you!!!!
Especially if you are using a darker color eyeshadow, a concealer will lighten it up a bit to keep it from looking too whore-ish. Just make sure you don't use soo much because it will make it look caked on. My suggestion is to use a very light stick concealer from NYC. It is really cheap and works great!

    good luck!
yes. a lot of people use concealer as an eyeshadow base. i personally don't wear eyeshadow but i know that it's a common thing to do.
I suppose it could, but I don't use it for that. My concealer is Boi-ing from Benefit, and my eye base is MAC shade stick
    Yeah, absolutely!

I do that all the time :)

Just don't use too much concealer because then your whole eye will look either too dark or too light or too cakey.
it could but i don't know if that would look right, especially because your eyes are different color than your skin so it may be alittle off...

but idk try it and good luck!
absolutely since its the same color as your skin it offers as a great start for a base
I never have but whatever works for you!!!

Should concealer be a shade lighter than the foundation?

Your concealer should absolutely always be a shade lighter than your foundation.

Also make sure that the concealer you use works with your skin tone i.e. Yellow undertones.

Quick Tip/Dont forget: Green concealer works best to hide pimples. Cover the green with your normal concealer.Should concealer be a shade lighter than the foundation?
It's really a matter of opinion. If you're covering your under eye circles, then yes, it should be a shade lighter.

If not, some people prefer to wear a shade lighter or one that matches their skin tone. If you're adding concealer over foundation instead of under, it may look a little strange, even with blending, if you decide to put a lighter color over a darker one.Should concealer be a shade lighter than the foundation?
It depends what you're trying to hide. If it's dark circles, then yes it needs to be a shade lighter. If you're covering zits or scars you want it to be about the same color.
yes. expecially when using for dark circles under your eyes. it look good as long as you take you foundation and blend all over afterwards until its natural looking

  • Better concealer for under-eye circles for people with sensitive skin?

highly recommended, it's the only one i will use :]Better concealer for under-eye circles for people with sensitive skin?
    Neither.

I use to think that my MAC Concealers are doing a great job until I got my Bobbi Brown Corrector.

My under eye circles are green-blue ish. So my best choice was the Dark Bisque. In MAC I'm a NC42 so I need the Dark Bisque to match my skin tone. This is great for anyone that has sensitive skin. It doesn't bother my skin.

I can't really help you cause I don't know what your skin tone is but if you go to a Nordstrom, just stop by the Bobbi Brown counter and tell them you want a corrector for your under eye circles. They will have you sit down and they will match the right corrector for you.

    Good Luck! =)
covering your under eye circles when u have sensitive skin is a really hard task but there is one concealer that has worked wonders on my skin, it is called fast fix concealer by sally hansen inspired by carmindy it is really helpful because it is cream concealer
physicians formula concealer for undereye circles.

It's amazing. It's called Circle Rx.
I use bare minerals and it takes the dark circles away
i use bare minerals. it is a powder, but it doesn't clog your pores!
I'll probably sound like a snob, but I think I'm the best person to ask on this because I have really severe dark undereye circles and sensitive skin. I've been looking for ages a product that would cover them up. After a ton of research, I finally came down to Bobbi Brown concealer and Corrector. They're pricey, but they completely cover up everything

It has a ';yellow'; base which is opposite on the color wheel of dark undereye circles, so it balances it out well. I've also seen it used by at least three professional make-up artists, who have all the know-how into which high-end brands are the best for what.

    I'm super happy with mine.

You said your skin is very dry, well, the Bobbi Brown concealer feels really moisturizing on it and doesn't dry out my sensitive eye area (and mine is pretty dry!. :) However, you might want to think of getting an eye cream if you don't already have one. I'm currently using the Chanel eye cream with spf 15, a sample, but it it's costly at $60. I've heard the RoC eyecream with retinol (vitamin A to fight wrinkles and plump the eye area) is super good--I've been meaning to try it, but everytime I go to CVS its' sold out! so it must be good ;) --and I haven't heard of a better one. I imagine it's half the cost of the Chanel one, but if you want an effective one, you have to pay more. I once bought a L'Oreal one and it actually dried out my eyes and even gave me a new wrinkle! So don'[t try those. I actually heard L'Oreal skin products are awful, but I have heard the Loreal Voluminous (not the Natural) is pretty good.

I've heard some of the MAC liquid foundations have given some ppl cystic acne (horrible), so I'd shy away from them. Despite their cult following, I think they sometimes use harsh products to get the look at the expense of how it might hurt the skin in the long-run. Just an observation. Nothing compares to MAC eyeshadows, however. ;)

I don't know about Benefit Cosmetics, but I think they're supposed to be good for sensitive skin. I haven't tried them, though.

Hope this helps! Good luck in your search!

I seriously recommend going to a Bobbi Brown counter and asking them to help find you an undereye concealer, (they're specifically targeted for undereye circles). And if it's not enough, with the Bobbi Brown salmon corrector underneath it, it should be completely gone. :)

Even if you think it's too pricey, I really recommend trying it. The cheaper concealers just seem to hard to blend for the delicate undereye area, crease, are streaky and really... It's worth it to splurge on the more expensive brands for concealer. :)

Natural Collection works very well. :)

Miss Sporty has a great one that helps act on spots as well. :)

    Maybelline :)

    Revlon! :D

I use stick concealers, because I don't really get dark shadows under my eyes, but I find that liquid concealers help that. :) But it ight be different on your skin... basically the most important thing is that you use a concealer that matches your skin tone. :D If it is slightly uneven use a foundation that matches your skin tone to even it up. :) Just make sure you wash it all off before you go to bed, but I'm sure you know that... yeah?, ;)

    Hope that helps? :)

MAC concealer cst a little expensive but it has a full coveragem but if you want a full coverage but cheap go to walmart and check out Maybelline and covergirl. they have loads of concealer and you c check out whats good for youu.

I have inherited dark circles aswell. I use bobbi brown concealer. Its a really thick creamy concealer and covers my dark circles perfectly and flawlessly. Mac concealers are also good but they are not as thick as bobbi brown concealers.

    Colortration concealers (www.colortration.com)

With Colortration you can get 6 samples for like $15 so you can find the perfect color for you and they will last a long time. I have this is my professional makeup kit and I use it all the time.
No 7 do a under eye concealer its about £14 but they often do the £5 off voucher or 3 for 2 at boots or I believe they also do a good one at Tesco (yes really) and that one is around £5

Use a liquid concealer for under the eyes. maybe covergirl?

I use that concealer in medium, and I just use it for blemishes and stuff. It works good for me!

Also it is a bit light, so I just add pressed powder in my skin tone after. Please help! i bought this stick concealer and it doesnt work?
when i first started to wear make-up hat happened to me too. It is because it is the wrong shade for you. I have very light skin and i have to use light 1 al the wise it looks weird on me. if it comes out pink it is obviously to light for you try a diff rent shade. All so wet an wild brand is not the best brand in The World try a diff rent brand maybe that will help.
If it doesnt work DONT use it.

You do NOT want to look like a cake face.

And this make-up sounds to light for you.

I suggest Elizabeth Arden or Smashbox for concealer.

I know these are a tab bit expensive but they are worth it then using a cheap brand that will not work =)

    Hope I helped

  • Question about high end foundation and concealer?

what is your favorite/least favorite high end foundation, as well as concealer?

why?Question about high end foundation and concealer?
my favourit very high end foundation is Estee Lauder ReNutriv.

It goes on smoothly, evens out, makes even very dry skin look radiant and smooth.

my other high end favourit is MAC Body and Face. It's weightless, feels great, and gives a natural not mask-like finish.

The least favourt high end foundations are:

RMK - does not stay put

MAC - Select does not stay put

Shiseido Lifting Foundation - does not stay put

    Concealer:

worst: Estee Lauder - does not stay put, slips into fine lines of skin and one looks years older.

MAC Select Concealer - same as Estee Lauder

Best: MAC Select coverup. great shades, highly pigmented, stays putQuestion about high end foundation and concealer?
I use Mac foundations because they are weightless. It feels like nothing on and really gives me the coverage I need. I also found it at half off retail at Beauty Budget. Their website is beautybudget.net
Mac Studio Fix Spf15 Liquid Foundation is Flawless.

Do I still need a concealer brush?

My under eye liquid concealer has a brush. But still of course I'll have to dab in %26amp; blend with my ring fingers.

I'm afraid to buy a concealer brush as I might still have to use my fingers.

Currently, I use the triangular sponge thin edge to blend.Do I still need a concealer brush?
you know what? it's much better to use your fingers to apply as using sponge will only make the application thick and heavy. moreover, the warmth from our finger will allow better blending! and to conceal undereye circle, lower your head and look straight/slightly upwards at the mirror. you should see something that resembles eyebag. it's somehow a triangle shape. do not put any concealor on that small area. conceal the entire area equals not concealing at all. you should try to stay away from that area for a more natural coverage.

i use under eye liquid concealer with a brush and then just blend with my fingers..

it works ok as long as you put on little bits at a time..

i personally think a concealer brush is a bit of a waste
i fink doin' it w/ ur fingers is muuuch better...
A concealer brush is a waste of money just use your finger its the best at blending
I'm a make up artist I pat concealer in with my ring finger it is alot better that way or use a foundation brush its quick that way

What does set mean in this sentence? After applying concealer put some powder on your face to *set* concealer?

PLZ ANSWER!!!What does set mean in this sentence? After applying concealer put some powder on your face to *set* concealer?
The word 'set' means that the powder will keep the concealer how you put it on, it will keep it in place. Concealer is pliable, if you do not set it with powder (unless its a mouse concealer) it will crease or move / slip down or rub off your face. It will also look seperate to the rest of your make up. The powder blends it all in. Loose neutral / translucent powders are best. What does set mean in this sentence? After applying concealer put some powder on your face to *set* concealer?
concealer itself will wear off just from the oil on your skin. So pretty much by 6 hours, you might as well have no worn concealer or it will go very blotchy and cakey.

If you put powder over your concealer, it will ';set'; it. It will absorb the oil that normally makes your concealer wear off sooner, and it will also blend it with the rest of your skin a little bit better.
It means you put powder on your concealer so that it can last longer throughout the day. Doing this will keep your concealer from fading and 'melting' off.
by setting your concealer (putting powder over your concealer), it helps your foundation last longer and not look so shiny
You put powder over it so it stays put and doesn't get shiny.

I truly believe noxema is superior to anything. My grandmother used it , my mom, me and now my teenagers are using it. Then just apply a moisturizer with sunscreen and you are set. The best concelear I have found is called ';cover my spots';.
i alternate between Cetaphil cleanser and St. Ives apricot scrub. the scrub is too harsh for me so i use it once every few days...the cetaphil is very gentle and mild and i like it.

I have dark circles as well from lack of sleep and I started to use CoverGirl brand's of concealers. They work wonders! They're a bit more expensive than other things on the shelf, but trust me-- it's worth it!Can someone suggest a good concealer?
eve pearl has salmon colored concealer (she has different shades of it for every skin tone) Just google her name. When you use a yellow based concealer it can tend to give you a grayish tint and look a little like a racoon. It DOES NOT cancel out the bluish tint from under eye dark circles. The eve pearl stuff is very pricey but I've have mine for a year now. You could find something cheaper. I would suggest a salmon based concealer.
get a sample of the cinderella yella concealer from LA Minerals. The sample will last you a Lonnnnggg time cuz a little goes along way.

I use it, then put foundation over it. I use their Hollywood foundation.

I'm not sure if you could put liquid foundation over it? But if you use liquid foundation you could put the concealer on last.

It's REALLY bright. You won't have dark circles after using that stuff!

  • Can a guy wear a concealer and coverup around his eyes to hind lines?

without it being noticableCan a guy wear a concealer and coverup around his eyes to hind lines?
The first and most important thing is moisturizing. There are many great products available that specialize in specific problem areas, such as the eyes. I use to sell Estee Lauder and often men would come to the counter on their wives behalf and I would ask them, what type of moisturizer or other facial skin products did they use?, I would then say, You wouldn't want your wives skin dry and wrinkly, would you? and of course they would say no, I then point out the fact, that wives wouldn't want their men wrinkly either, so why shouldn't men take the time to moisturize and use what ever else they may need to keep their skin looking great. Getting to your question, if you take the time to pamper your skin with what it needs you may not need the concealer. Have you ever tried using preparation H cream under your eyes, it really works wonders. I really LOVE the Sheer Cover by Liesa Gibbons it is absolutely the most natural looking cover-up and make-up I have ever used and it is extremely affordable.

,Can a guy wear a concealer and coverup around his eyes to hind lines?
of course, as long as no one can tell (that applies for guys AND girl) you can wear any makeup. just make sure your don't have it on before your face gets wet, or else you could get unpleasent nicknames...
yes if a girl can wear cover up a guy can too. but if your gonna, you should fallow the same ';guide lines'; of how to wear it, like don't were cover up that's not you skin color, and liquid concealer works better than powder (for wrinkles)... if you don't know how to put it on then just do a search on it.
Yes. Concealer and anything else you use to ';cover up'; either on men or women is supposed to look natural. If it is noticeable it's not a good quality, it doesnt match your skin tone, or you've applied it wrong. To match a concealer or foundation to your skin, pat concealer in and blend foundation at the jawline. It should look the same as your cheek AND neck... meaning it should not stand out like a white line.
sure. just blend well with a sponge. and ask a girl friend to teach you how.
yeah, as long as you don't tell anyone
Yes, just ask a girl you trust to help you buy the right color for your skin, and tips on how to blend it so it's not obvious. My husband works with the public and uses a light concealer on pimples. It won't make you a girl :)
yeah, as long as it's not too obvious. the key is finding the right color as your skin tone so when you put it on it's as if you're not wearing it.
why not? a lot of guys wear makeup and not just the flaming ones
i dont see why not, guys can be worried about anything just make sure you get a color that matches
no but eye cream is ok concealer would actualy make them stand out more because it is meant to blend in to the skin wich would fall in to lines and excuentuate them concealer is ment to be used to hide discolorations

    :)
yes of course!!!! there is makeup for men now! i dont know where it is...but google it and it will come up with stores. also you can wear womens....its perfectly fine!!

What's a good concealer (that will cover up a few acne spots) that i can buy in a grocery store/pharmacy?

I have combination skin, so I deal with this too. I use a solid stick concealer, try to get it a couple shades lighter than you're actual skin tone( Maybelline I believe has a stick sort of like lipstick it comes in white, which can be intimidating but it will cover anything even under eye circles, which only costs 5 or 6 dollars at CVS or Walgreens) then i apply dream matte mouse in my skin tone over the concealed spots and cover my face. Afterwards i top it off with a pressed powder to set the makeup. You're face should appear very clear. I hope this helps :)

if you are looking to clear up the acne i would tell you to go with a liquid foundation neutrogena blemish clearing treatent. it is still make up and still concels great but it has a variety of shages and salic acid in it to help cure the acne.It is really good, my mother got it on a clearance sale at walgreens or cvs i cant remember but i doubted its power, and it really worked wonders on my skin when i started using it. It is expensive but the quality is what matters.

I have a concealer that matches my skin perfectly except for my freckles!?

when ever i put it over my freckles it looks really weird but if i skip them it looks like i have 2 different skin colors!I have a concealer that matches my skin perfectly except for my freckles!?
Freckles can be hard to mask no matter what you use. You could look for a skin bleach cream over the counter and try applying it to the area to see if it evens out the tone of the skin

  • Which primer, moisturizer, concealer and liquid foundation is best for my skin?

I have dry skin, and my whole face gets dried out easily.. And I also have acne prone skin so I want a heavy coverage foundation and concealer that hides my blemishes. I also have to deal with red bloches on my skin.. So what high-end brand would be best for me? (Clique.. MAC.. Smashbox.. Philosiphy.. Vincent Logo.. etc.)Which primer, moisturizer, concealer and liquid foundation is best for my skin?
Alright, i'll start with the acne prone skin... STAY AWAY from makeup with oil, which is in most liquids except Clinique's. I would stay away from liquids, but if you want to, use a brush instead of a sponge, beacause sponges breed bacteria. All of Clinique's makeup is oil free and non acnegenic, which just basically means it won't cause or make your acne worse. most makeup will just make your acne worse this one won't. Acne is caused by dead skin cells and oil clogging pores, so i'm guessing you may also be dealing with a little oil. Clinique has a great foundation called Superbalance makeup that won't clog your pores but will also moisturize where needed ( the price is good too, about $19.50, in the U.S.).

I'm not sure about the others, but i do know that MAC makes you break out because it started out as a stage makeup company and they use parabens which is harmful to your skin.Which primer, moisturizer, concealer and liquid foundation is best for my skin?
If you have acne prone skin, a heavy foundation may not help that situation. Here's what you need to do..before make-up..

find a Gentle exfoliator to help get rid of some of the dead skin which helps make your skin look like it's really dry. I really like Loreal Paris, they aren't high end, but I find that they get the job done. Next, find a moisture mask, like one of the ones that come in the plastic packages like are about $2 from London Drugs, they really work. Next, a lightweight moisturizer, one that does not clog pores. Again, I like Loreal Paris for this, HydraFresh Moisturiser for normal-dry skin.

For the make-up, use a med-coverage foundation. After you apply the foundation, leave it for about 10 min before you put concealer on because your face may still be a little red when you put it on and you may not need to cover all the area that you think is red. Do NOT use a powder foundation. I like Feel Naturale foundation or True Match from Loreal Paris, and you can easily find a matching concealer as well.

You don't necessarily need a high-end brand, but I would stay away from Smashbox, their products aren't that terrific.
I would invest in a moisturizer from Lancome or Clinique with an SPF in it- a high end brand that specializes in the health of skin. I use benefit primer ';that gal'; because it gives your face a healthy glow and it has a pink undertone so your skin will not look like you have tons of make up on. i also use the Benefit playstick (I use spin the bottle) because it works as a concealer and foundation. If you get a make up brush and cover your face with it it will not look cakey at all. It is healthy for your skin. I also have acne prone skin and my face does not break out at all, with MAC it did for sure. Make sure you wash your faceevery night to clean out your pores and I ould use a good night time moisutizer to rejuvenate your skin as you sleep!
Well, what you can do is buy some Clean and Clear Maximum Strength Invisible Blemish Treatment. You put it on in the morning, and leave it on all day. You can even put makeup on over it. I don't think the brand of makeup really matters. Just make sure you don't buy the cheap generic stuff.

Oh, and before you go to bed make sure you wipe EVERYTHING off your face. Otherwise, your face may break out and not look so pretty in the morning. :\

    Hope i helped!
first: seems like you need a calming facial wash and some good toner.

try a mineral based makeup like bare escentuals, it doesn't contain oils and ingredients that would clog pores.

Best type of Concealer for Under Eyes?

I have small blue veins that can be seen underneath my eyes which prompts everyone to ask whether or not I've been getting enough sleep. It makes me look tired no matter how rested I am. I tend to use only products that can be found at drug stores (such as Walgreens, CVS Pharm.) or Walmart. Are there any products that you have tried and use religiously.. or any that you would recommend not even wasting money trying? Thanks so much! I'll check back later.Best type of Concealer for Under Eyes?
band aids are really easy to use. maybe some cool ones that have neat designs, like stars and stripes?Best type of Concealer for Under Eyes?
I use this stuff called Skin Regenerating Serum by Patricia Wexler, M.D. You can get it at Bath and Body Works. It's a bit pricy BUT you only need a small tub to last forever. It is a gel-type thing that goes on clear and then you put concealer on on top of it. It really helps! Also, you can get it on eBay A LOT cheaper.

Anything that is yellowy, it sounds bad but the yellow counteract the blue. Try baremineral's well rested eyshadow for underneath the eyes. It workd for my mom!
Try benefit concealer. It is amazing, you only need a little bit but it lasts forever. You can buy it at Sephora.
freeze spoons and put that on them

Can anyone recommend an oil-blotting makeup or concealer that won't come off while sweating/excercising?

I am looking for any ideas to adequately COVER UP blemishes and STAYS PUT w/o looking ';made up';! I have very oily skin. I've heard about baby powder on a brush as well as corn starch. Any more ideas, guys? Can anyone recommend an oil-blotting makeup or concealer that won't come off while sweating/excercising?
don't really know about the concealer problem. but to keep oil off your face use oil absorbing sheets from clean%26amp; clear. DON';T and i repeat DON'T use powders the only thing they help with is clogging up pores! Can anyone recommend an oil-blotting makeup or concealer that won't come off while sweating/excercising?
I'm not very good with concealers and such, but as far as exercising goes, I wouldnt work out in it. If you're headed to the gym after work or something, leftover makeup is fine, but don't apply fresh makeup before going to the gym. It will clog your pores and create more blemishes.

Sorry I cant be of more help
Try Bare Minerals...You can purchase them online ...on ebay, or find them at cosmetic stores like Ulta or Sephora. Its all natural concealors, foundations, pigments, %26amp; etc in powder form. I love it! It gives you a flawless finnish without looking cakey, or in your case ';made up.'; It also has a medium coverage and SPF 15. You just buff it on the skin with a brush and your all set!

What type of concealer should i use?

please recommend me brands which i can find in Singapore =)

i've had my breakouts earlier this year and they're recovering but there are red spots leftover, i'll be going for my vbeam laser soon but meanwhile, may i know which type of concealer does not clog pores and has good coverage? I'm currently using Averine's concealer. What type of concealer should i use?
    Hi,

My favourite concealer for spots is MAC Studio Finish Concealer. This is a full coverage concealer and the consistency of the product is nice and creamy. It is also semi water-resistant, which holds up well in hot and humid weather, like Singapore. hehe.. The product comes in a small round pot and is available in a range of colours, available at any MAC makeup counter.

How well this concealer works depends on the application method used, in my opinion. I find for it to work best, I use a concealer brush (I use one from The Body Shop) to pick up a little bit of product, dab it on the spot and use a sponge to gently 'pat' the concealer in. To make it last longer, be sure to set with some pressed or translucent powder after.

Hope that helps! What type of concealer should i use?
    Hi,

Haha.. I wasn't quite sure how to answer your Q, so just gonna leave a comment here. I have pretty sensitive and acne-prone skin and this concealer has not irritated my skin at all. Of course, bearing in mind that each product works differently on everyone. Report Abuse

I use neutrogina's skin clearing foundation(:

It doesn't clog your pores, and it doesn't feel too heavy, either.

It is oil free, and it also has a little bit of salycic(sp) acid, which helps clear breakouts.

I hope that you can find it where you are!

    I absolutely love it.

    Best of luck%26lt;3
The ZA concealer perfection is really good at covering up my blemishes and redness, the coverage is also really good

And its available in watson! :)
I use Sonia Kashuk Hidden Agenda Concealer Palette.

    It's my lifesaver :]

Remember that a little goes a long way. Just one dab of your finger and you get a lot of product!

What is the best under eyes circles concealer?

i have almay ---its okay but tell me what do you think works best

thanks :)What is the best under eyes circles concealer?
I have the same problem(I even have an ugly blue vein under my eye)- I have tried many many concealers because of this problem- the below routine works best, trust me-

don't use a lighter concealer than your skin tone, like we have always heard or don't use a yellow concealer-

instead, get a peachy or pink toned concealer and dab some powder on top(only a tiny bit) to hold it in place-

I do the above (I use Bobbie brown's corrector in peach, or you can try light peach, depending on your skin tone) and this works really well, even hides my blue veins like magic-

hope I helped! What is the best under eyes circles concealer?
Under eye concealer can make eye circles look worse than before. I also have under eye circles. What you should do instead of using makeup is putting something cold over your eyes for about five minutes. Don't use ice! Cooled cucumbers or cooled teabags work really well.
smashbox under eye brightner is very good.

also, try put a lighter concealer under your eyes, and then put ur normal powder on top x
smashbox highlighter pen. i would actually stick with bare minerals though... it's light, covers well, and lasts a long time.
I use Smashbox Under Eye Brightener - LUV IT!!

Does kat von d's sephora tattoo concealer really work?

or is it a waste to buy it? cuz im getting a half sleeve done, and if it works good,. i might just finish it as a whole sleeveDoes kat von d's sephora tattoo concealer really work?
I just went to Sephora to buy it to cover up a tattoo I have on my wrist. It's a small line of script. 1st of all its a TINY bottle and to cover up a half sleeve/full sleeve you would need multiple bottles each time.

Anyways, I'm light-medium skin tone, so naturally I tried the light first.... did NOT cover, the tattoo showed even after applying multiple layers. Then, I tried medium, the color matched my skin better but the tattoo still showed through, same with the dark. I even had the sales person come and help me, she said she covered up a girls sleeve for a wedding and it does work, but I highly doubt it because after many layers you could still see my ink.

Anyways, I did find a solution. I have the MAC liquid foundation, so I applied that first, 1 coat, let it dry, and then a second coat. Then I took MAC Studio Fix power and applied it, and then used the MAC spray to set it. I had to blend it very well, but in the end it worked great.

Basically, save your money, it would be a major waste to buy Kat's product, and I'm a huge Kat fan, and super disappointed it doesn't work. But hey, we don't get tat's to cover them up, right? :o)

Hope this helped!Does kat von d's sephora tattoo concealer really work?

Mac Studio Sculpt , even though it's almost 20.00 it's really worth it, its a concealer that provides full coverage with a natural matte finish. Brushes on with enough blend time to conceal any size of blemish. Rich formulation allows you to use a micro-amount of product to even out skin. Water-resistant and long-wearing.

What things do you use to cover up your flaws making it natural? (concealer, etc etc.)?

What is foundation, concealer, and all those other make ups for?

How do we use them? S: I'm a bit new to make up.. and it's almost my grade 12 graduation pictures.. and i don't know how to cover up all those flaws on my skin. I want it to look natural. Please explain throughly? Thanks !!What things do you use to cover up your flaws making it natural? (concealer, etc etc.)?
concealer is what you use to cover up the flaws and you use fondation or powder on top make sure you use the right shade and if you want a more natural look try bare minerals which is a powder use this after you conceal all the bad spots and it will leave you with a flawless face!

Also even if you don't use the bare minerals powder try to purchase a powder instead of liquid foundation if you don't have much experience with it because it is tricky finding the right shade of foundation and if not done right you can be left with a cakey flakey mess and an unmatching line which is not good! What things do you use to cover up your flaws making it natural? Mineral makeup looks really natural

Best concealer for blemish and big pores?

I have alot of huge pores and alot of scars and blemishes from acne. I want a good concealer or cover up that will cover it up. thank youBest concealer for blemish and big pores?
the best i have found is either dermablend or mac cosmeticsBest concealer for blemish and big pores?
for the large pores, clean your face well. there are lots of inexpensive face masks that tighten pores in just 5 minutes, use it before you wear your makeup.

for concealer, i use the liquid kind in a tone slightly lighter than my skin, dab it on my blemishes and blend. sometimes I have to use 2 layers. important: don't go beyond 3 layers or your skin will look weird and it will just draw even more attention to your blemishes.

after that, i put on liquid foundation that matches my skin tone and set it with translucent powder.

after that, I put on clearasil. carry oil blotting paper in your purse, use them during the day to soak up acne-causing oils and to make your pores look smaller. they don't smear your makeup and you can get them at dilliards.
There are only three concealers I think are worth thinking about:

    1) Everyday Minerals concealers in your shades. I swear by this brand

    2) Almay Clear Complexion Concealer if you want drugstore and quality

    3) MAC studio stick. I personally haven't used this, however my sister (how has TERRIBLE skin... sweet girl though...) always uses this and it makes her skin look like porcelin. Be sure to wash it off, because I think that a lack of facial skincare might be the cause of her acne.

    GOod luck!
I would personally rather correct my skin issues than worry about covering them and use aularale.com/7002's skin care (for skin type), vitamin c serum, and fade gel. Add to that a good diet (fresh fruits/veggies), a good vitamin/mineral supplement, and drinking water, water, water and those issues will be nothing but a memory.

Which concealer should i use to cover dark circles mac studio sculpt or mac studio finish?

But if you have dark circles then use studio sculpt as it will cover the dark circle.Which concealer should i use to cover dark circles mac studio sculpt or mac studio finish?
When I went to MAC they suggested Select Cover-Up Cache over the other 2. I have very dark circles and this covers it well. Having said that after reading the description of both - I will try the Studio Sculpt since it specifically is marketed to cover dark circle and a little goes a long way - if it can cover a tattoo or birthmark as is says it should do quite well on dark circles I imagine.

  • Is it okay to use a concealer as a foundation?

I was just wondering...thanks! ^_^Is it okay to use a concealer as a foundation?
Well it's designed to cover up imperfections... blemishes, scars, dark circles etc... but if you want coverage find a foundation that will give you what you need according to your skin type... a medium base foundation is a little more matte and ';thick'; to help even out skin tone, full coverage are usually really ';light'; and transparent for more even and less problematic skin types... if you want a more natural look find a foundation according to your skin type and use a concealer brush for concealer to hide what you don't the rest of the world to see!!! hope this helped!!!Is it okay to use a concealer as a foundation?
i used to use it as foundation, i dont anymore because it works out quite expensive though because concealer comes in smaller quantities and it doesnt make your skin looks as even. if you do this, make sure you use powder to set it to avoid your skin looking greasy, and blend in so your face doesnt look dirty or messy.
i do. never had a problem with it. i have yet to find a foundation that provides the coverage i need so thats why i use the concealer. just make sure you cleanse your face well everynight and try not to sleep with it on bc it can clog your pores
    nope.

concealer is generally a shade lighter/ darker depending on ur color...

a foundation shld fit ur color as natural as it can be.

so using a concealer will change ur skin color :D
NO! Concealers are made to cover up things like dark spots. They are therefore very light and very heavy. Skin should be gossamer and you could not get that look with such a heavy foundation.
I dunno....I have always thought concealer never matches just perfectly. I mean, I have used foundation as concealer, but I don't think it goes hand in hand. It might look cakey or off-tone.
i guess you could, but don't use it all over your face. just the problem spots, that is in fact what concealer is for
You can dilute it with water if it's too thick, but if you just put it on certain parts of your face it should be ok like under your eyes and contouring, but don't cake it on x
it is thicker and won't look as natural on-it is also normally oil-based so it is worse for your skin as well
Yeah i do all the time, just dont put it all over your face. Only where you need it most and blend very well.
well if it looks good then why not!? :]

Does anyone know off an inexpensive concealer that still covers well?

i find covergirl liquid concealer to work well, its $8 for a small bottle, but its definently worth it. ive had mine for over a year, so you definently get your moneys worth. i dont think the powder concealers work that good.Does anyone know off an inexpensive concealer that still covers well?
    stila makes a great one...

but hands down, here's one that you can ';make'; by yourself.

Get two shades of matching CoverGirl Outlast makeup (comes with its own SPF moisturizer base too)

mix until you get a perfect match to your skin tone. I say get two shades because most people don't match exactly straight out of the tube. leave out overnight...it will dry a bit and stifen--creating the world's best lightweight, full coverage concealer.

You can try with just about any type of liquid or cream foundation.Does anyone know off an inexpensive concealer that still covers well?
i use wet n wild. it covers well for me
You should try Avon's Beyond Color Radiant Lifting Concealer, it works for both wrinkles and dark circles. I've been using it for a while and it works wonders, I got it on special for 4.99, I think it might still be that price.
    Benefit!!!all their concealers are great!
Neutragena makes a version of mineral makeup that is awesome for concealing without looking cakey or over made up. It is very sheer.

If you can't in your situation, find a really small makeup brush (or use a lip brush if you have nothing else) and dip just the very very tip in liquid makeup. Use it to appy it to any pimple or red spots, and then dip it in powder and go back over it. It's the easiest and best way to completely conceal problem areas.

Also, if you have any Visine (eye drops) in your home, apply a few drops to any red spots and in ten minutes the red will be ALOT less noticeable. It provides a really good palette to start with before trying tocover anything up more.

For future reference, a reaaallly great foundation for any skin type is Prescriptives Flawless Skin foundation (and their pressed powder too if you can afford to get both). It stays all day and you can wear it light or heavier for a flawless look. I descovered it right before I got married and it left me completely oil-free and fresh looking all day on my wedding day even though I took pictures outside for 2 hours before my wedding in a dress and 96 degree Texas weather. It costs about 34 dollars per bottle, but it's worth it like nothing else!

The girl that said Visine for your pimples is right! I put a little Visine on a q-tip and put it on my zits twice a day and it makes them less red.
Neutrogena is a very good brand to take away pimples
get a small foundation brush put the concealer right on the blemish and spread out in the area then put the foundation on then put the loose powder on any oily spots or spots that fade the quickest! good luck

I Love make-up and I just had to have this Concealer Set. Just one thing... How dose it work. What do all the blues and yellow do? and How do you know when to use them?I just got a new Concealer Set, how dose it work?
you base it on the color wheel for example green is the oposite of red so you use green concealer to cover up red spots like zitsI just got a new Concealer Set, how dose it work?
Mostly green concealer is used for red acne scars/zits/pimples/rosasca. (Remember to apply a light layer).

The light concealer is used for dark circles and dark acne scars.

ThanksShould I use a Concealer Stick Before or After Foundation??
    ---Before Foundation

Okay, first off I hope it's not that Concealer Lipstick shaped thing. Those thing will ruin your skin! They're oily and clog your pores. Anyways, I'd use the Clean And Clear Concealing Treatment Stick, they're marvelous! (Pore wise, and covering up)

To the point. What I do is I'll put it on the blemish and wait a few seconds (maybe like 30) and then depending on how red this blemish is I'll rub it in. Always smoothing the edges to let the color remain on the blemish. If your applying it all over your face. Then what I do is rub it in and then use bronser on top, after it's dry (not moist) to give it that ';glow';Should I use a Concealer Stick Before or After Foundation??
i do both- just because sometimes i forget before and when i do it after it looks real good it was a mistake gone good for me- but if you got the right concealer to match your skin and make-up (dont use make-up btw- use tinted moisturizer which is much better for your skin and lighter- i use laura mercier's primer to diminish lines and pores-AWESOME! and her tinted moisturizer with SPF 20- IT'S THE BEST!) you should be good. Go to sephora to get the colour that best fits you! OH! AND i use boot's no.7 under eye concealer for everything you wanna hide I love it- they say its the same exact product as the very awesome but expensive yves saint laurent concealer but way affordable and at target!

A cream concealer goes on first (Cover girl has come out with a good one that does not smear: stays put even with application of foundation). The concealer stick type goes on after the foundation (a brush works well for this, does not smear the foundation as much as a finger would). Some concealers are now coming out in a tube with brush attached and you turn the crank to get the concealer into the brush. I don't care for these because bacteria can grow--and cleaning the brush (shampoo works best) may allow water to enter into the concealer. You hate to spend a lot of money on trial and error (like me, I got a lot to hide, ha!). Good luck

you can do it either way. I find that under foundation makes it blend better but that depends on what products I'm using at the time. Some concealers settle in the little lines under my eyes so in that case, it is helpful to put it on over the foundation.
i say after u put your foundaition.
you aplly it before you foundation and you only use it under your eyes and where ever you have dark spots (oh yeah it has to be alittle lighter than your skin tone) than you apply your foundation all over your face and front neck. also another trick is apply it to your eyelids so the eyeshadow will last
I use it sometimes before and after. But mostly before ^^
I've done both and I have found that if you do it after, it blends much better. Also, when I would put it on first, most of it would rub away when I put on the foundation and I'd just have to reapply anyway.
after...if its for acne..and use a little amount on the bumps with a q-tip..

before..if its for dark undereye circles..use a little amont and sponge it on
after is best as it blends in with your make up. dont rub it in use you finget at pat it in until it blends.btw im using my bf yahoo account.
Concealer first and only where you need it than apply your foundation over whole face.

Personally I just put on concealer and a tinted shear powder all over, works with out looking to over done.
you do it before putting the foundation on.
you use concealer first, than foundation, than powder, than blush

many women use it under their eyes and areas that they are covering up blimishes or discolorations with it

i personally like avon's beyond color radiant lifting concealer, i also use the beyond color skin smoothing compact foundation which worked both as a foundation and as a powder...saves time and money!

Before, and usually on blemishes. If you have dark circles under your eyes it works well to help conceal them.
Most people would put it on BEFORE foundation yet I found if you are going to wear foundation for sure, you should use it AFTER because then you can see which parts need ';extra'; coverage that you foundation didn't cover. There would be no point in cover up with concealer if your foundation is going to cover it anyways. Also, when you put it on BEFORE, you tend to smush it around when you apply your foundation.
You should use a concealer before, foundation. This will give you an even tone. You can use a concealer stick any place on your face that has discolorations.
Concealer goes on before foundation. A primer is used before both. Moisturizer before all but after cleansing your face.
Pat on concealer. Then if you want no 'seam' between your foundation and the concealer, pat foundation on over the concealer. If it is around your eyes, however, you may want the concealer on top to 'brighten' the color of your eyes. Blend with a sponge if that's the case so you don't have a harsh reverse 'raccoon' eye look about you. For red, a green concealer will tone down. For sallow skin, a lilac concealer will perk up. For dark circles under your eyes, yellowish works on most skin types.
Use a little before on the most obvious blemishes the apply your foundation and touch up if needed! this stops you using more foundation and concealor than you actually need! xxx
Whatever your foundation dose not cover your concealer will! You always want to use Foundation first. take it from me.

I鈥檓 a successful makeup artist, going on 15 yrs .
concealer should be applied after foundation. this is because if you put it first, when you apply foundation it will be rubbed off.
